Photos can be enough
For a simple fresh coat, walls in good condition, or a rental handover, the room sizes, a description of the condition and a few good-quality photos are often enough for an online quote. If you have a scaled floor plan, send that too!
An on-site survey is worthwhile
For wallpaper removal, a major colour change, skim coating, or crack and other wall repairs, the wall's condition can involve several work phases, so I arrange an on-site survey in these cases. Within Budapest, the on-site survey is free too.
In the itemised quote, the scope of work, the labour cost, the cost of materials and the agreed deadline can all be reviewed separately.

Contract
The work phases, the labour cost, the cost of materials and the agreed deadline are set out in a written contract.
Sourcing materials and preparation
I source the materials myself, so you don't need to go to a paint shop. I cover the furniture and the floor and prepare the surface. All you need to choose is the colour.
Painting
I carry out the agreed work according to the contract. I only take on a new work phase after separate agreement.
Clean-up and handover
I remove the protective covers, clean up, take away any waste, and then we go over the finished work together.

No. The figures shown on the main page are labour costs. In the quote you receive, the labour cost and the cost of materials are listed on separate lines. I source the materials myself, so you don't need to go to a paint shop.
Who takes care of sourcing materials, cleaning and waste removal?
I take care of everything: sourcing the materials, covering the surfaces, the painting itself, the clean-up afterwards, and removing any waste. All you need to choose is the colour.
When is a photo-based quote enough?

When is an on-site survey necessary?
For wallpaper removal, a major colour change, skim coating, or wall repairs that involve several work phases, I arrange an on-site survey. Within Budapest, the on-site survey is free too.
What does an itemised quote mean?
The quote lists the work phases, the labour cost and the cost of materials separately, so you can see in advance what makes up the total cost.
How does the fixed price and deadline guarantee work?
The price for the agreed scope of work and the promised deadline are set out in writing. I only take on a new work phase after separate agreement.
Is there a guarantee on the work?
Yes. I sign a written contract for every job, and I provide a guarantee on the work carried out. If you find a fault after handover, get in touch and we'll take a look.
How long does it take to paint a flat?
Fresh coat painting of an empty, 2-room flat in good condition usually takes 1–2 working days. If skim coating or wall repairs are also needed, this can grow to 3–5 days. The agreed deadline is set out in the contract. How long does painting a room take?
Do I need to skim coat before painting?
