Do I need to move the furniture before painting?
Before I begin painting, all wall surfaces must be cleared. While I don’t undertake moving heavy furniture myself, I can assist with minor adjustments for an hourly fee as listed in my price list. It’s best to move furniture to the center of the room to ensure sufficient workspace along the walls. Of course, I will take care of all proper covering and ensure a dust-free process.
Do I need to cover the furniture before painting?
No – CityTint uses professional protective materials to cover and shield your belongings from dust and paint. When I begin the work, I carefully cover and protect all surfaces – including furniture, flooring, and windows/doors – from dust, paint splashes, and other damage, using proven, professional covering materials. If you choose to do your own covering, I cannot take responsibility for the integrity of the affected items.
How much does painting cost, will I get an itemized quote?
Yes, after every on-site survey, I prepare a detailed, itemized quote that includes my labor fee, material costs, and a breakdown of all work processes. It’s important to know that, despite my utmost care, unexpected costs may occasionally arise – for example, due to hidden wall defects, extra tasks you request later, or increased material needs. I always discuss any potential additional costs with you in advance, ensuring complete transparency and fair cooperation.
How long will the painting take?
During my survey, I not only discuss prices but also the estimated duration of the work. As part of the quote, I provide a clear time interval, detailing which days and how many hours I will be working. This way, you’ll know exactly what to expect and can more easily adapt to the work schedule.
Can I pay in installments?
Installment payment is possible. In this case, I divide the work into phases, and billing occurs after each completed phase. It’s important that I only begin the next phase after the previous one has been settled. This system provides security for both of us and helps ensure a transparent and fair partnership.
Do you undertake small-scale painting jobs in Budapest?
Absolutely! Whether it’s painting a single room, small surface plastering, crack repair, repair after water damage, or painting after air conditioning installation – please send me an email at festes@citytint.hu with as detailed a description as possible and preferably photos. I will provide a quote within 72 hours, which will include the cost of materials, my labor, tools, travel, covering, and cleaning.
